APPLICATION

Eliminate the  high pressure  H2 gas cylinders of the laboratory by generating a continuous source of pure H2 gas for the following applications:

 

  • GC-FID, NPD, TCD, ELCD, HALL
  • GC-Carrier gas
  • THA

 

OPERATING MODE 

These generators use the newest membrane technology for the electrolytic production of pure  H2 gas. This technology was preferred over alternative hydrogen generating techniques because it is clean, requires less maintenance and there is no need to store chemicals to maintain operation. Hydrogen is produced by electrolysis of water through a polymer membrane. Only pure water, either distilled or deionised, is required to provide trouble free long term operation.

Safety features :

The small contained volume(< 50 ml )makes the generator safe for operation in spaces where cylinder hydrogen is restricted. An auto shutt off procedure places the unit in standby in the event of an internal error, and selectable alarms allow the user to be informed whenever operating conditions vary from the set point.

The combined H2/Air generators :

This unit can provide both hydrogen gas and zero grade air to FID detectors on Gas Chromatographs .
Hydrogen gas is produced from deionized water using a Proton Exchange Membrane Technology. Zero air is produced by purifying compressed air sourced from the air network to a total hydrocarbon concentration of

< 0.05 ppm (measured as methane).
An interchangeable top panel allows for direct mounting of the three models of H2 generator ( needs only to specific the H2 model). Units are complete systems with highly reliable components engineered for easy installation, operation, and long term performance.

- Flame Photometric Detectors
- Total Hydrocarbon Analyzers.

NEW : H2 SENSOR

Get all the benefits of the hydrogen generator as carrier gas.... without taking the risk!

If you want to take full advantage of the power of High Resolution Gas chromatography for your analytical results, then hydrogen will be in most cases the carrier gas of choice.

Its low viscosity and excellent mass transfer capabilities results in shorter run times and better separation performances.

- Beside this hydrogen costs about 75% less then helium of comparable quality.

-The only drawback is the danger of explosion in case of a leak in the column oven.

The sensor can be connected directly with the Alliance hydrogen generators.

It continuously monitors the atmosphere in the GC oven and transmits the data to the hydrogen generator. When the hydrogen concentration detected exceeds the threshold of safety, the hydrogen generator will be automatically blocked and reported an audible and visual alarms.

The oven is immediately shut off and the cooling flap opens.

In addition the system can switch to nitrogen if a gas switching valve is provided.

This will also happens in a event of power failure.

It can work in standalone mode connected by RS-485 network to a SCADA system
